30 mile challenge complete

It was a cool afternoon, but as I can't get on the bike during the week due to the times I have available to me, I decided to head out on a long ride. Initially this was planned to be about 20 miles, but I didn't feel tired during the ride and so at certain points, decided to lengthen the ride.

After 2 hours and 10 minutes I returned home. I found that I had cycled over 30 miles, which was one of my personal goals to achieve by Christmas. So, one target is done.

The first day of the challenge next year is a similar distance, cycling from Beatty Junction, Nevada to  Stovepipe Wells, California via Daylight Pass. Although the distance is similar, today's cumulative elevation of just over 1,100 feet is nothing compared to the 4,317 feet of Daylight Pass.
