Today marks one year before the challenge. Given that I signed up almost two months ago, it feels both a milestone, but also a warning that the time to train will go very quickly. I'm quite proud of what I've achieved in the two months, especially the 350 miles in the saddle.
There is bad news with this though - it's heading towards winter, the light available to me is much less (especially when I get home late from work) and I don't know how much more cycling I'll be able to do during the winter months, except at weekends.
To that end, I am setting myself a new challenge. As there are 365 days to go, I want to cycle at least 3650 miles between now and then.
I am also planning on cycling to work and back starting in the spring. This will be about 18 miles each way, and given my current cycling ability will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes. I will only do this once a week to start with, I think my legs will be dead if I did it every day!
