Ramping things up/fundraising progress

Today I went on my longest ride ever - 37 miles or 59km. It was painful and taught me that the challenges I will be doing during the year are going to be really tough. I use Strava to track my progress, which today recorded my "suffer score" as 252, labelling it as "Epic". I sure agree with that!

Below is a track:

On the challenge itself, day 1 will be about 30 miles plus 3000-5000 feet of climb, so more intense than today. Today also taught me that even doing a couple of relatively (by Death Valley standard) flat 60 mile rides, I am a long way from the right fitness.

This now stands at £665. Thank you to everyone who has given so far. I have a long way to go, so urge all of my readers to donate and help me get this up as soon as possible. I can't believe how difficult it is to fundraise, and want to show that I am committed to raising the money and doing the challenge, by putting myself through the pain as above.
